(One quick tip for this part is something called "foxit reader". Chill out and give them a good amount of time each week, ensuring that you highlight important parts- make sure you do this, as when essay time comes it will really be a crunch to re-read and highlight. The readings are the most important part. They can also be quite difficult- it is an intro subject, yes, but you are not studying summaries of the main philosophers- you study their actual writings (perhaps as excerpts). There are indeed a lot of readings- maybe 20 pages a week, sometimes more. The tutorials are more useful in that you get to discuss in a group the issues of the week.

Peter singer is kind of an asshole, but he's an interesting asshole- his lectures were the only ones I went to personally. You should still listen to them etc, but don't waste time taking notes (or take very minimal notes- try instead to understand the ideas). Your mileage may vary, but I did not find the lectures very helpful. How do we know what we know? Is there a real external world ( ie, is it all just a hallucination a la the matrix?). Genetic engineering metaphysics- what constitutes person-hood (or humanity in general) and how does that relate to GE. ethics/morality- ie, if there's a runaway train going to hit 5 people tied down, is it moral to flip the switch to hit the one person on the switch track? 2. I know this is a lot to ask, but any input is very appreciated. How strict are they towards marking assessments? (Last semester, one of my subject's tutor straight up said that a H1 for the assignments are pretty much a no-show and that only H2As are very likely.).How does assessment work? (As this is my first arts breadth, I'm unfamiliar with how art assessments work). How difficult is it to achieve an H1? (is it true that arts subjects are "relatively easy to pass but pretty hard to H1").Are there a lot of readings? Do the readings actually matter for achieving a high mark?.I'm assuming the content would be rather interesting, but how are the lectures and tutorials conducted, and how beneficial are they actually for the assessments?.I blindly picked a subject last semester and the overall experience wasn't that great, so I don't want to do that again. As title suggests, has anyone done this subject and could share their opinions towards it.
